The Sixth Council

The sixth election for the Council of Xewkija was held on Saturday 8th March 2008. The Councilors elected were Mr Teddy Mizzi, Dr Monica Vella, Dr Marthese Portelli, Mr Joseph Vella and Mr Hubert Saliba. The Council members took their Oath of Office on Friday, 28th March, 2008. On Friday the 4th April 2008, Dr. Monica Vella accepted the Office of Mayor while Mr Joseph Vella was elected Deputy Mayor.

 

Is-Sitt Kunsill

Il-Sitt elezzjoni ghall-Kunsill Lokali tax-Xewkija saret nhar is-Sibt 8 ta' Marzu 2008. Gew eletti bhala Kunsilliera s-Sur Teddy Mizzi, l-Av. Monica Vella, l-Av. Marthese Portelli, is-Sur Joseph Vella u s-Sur Hubert Saliba.  II-Kunsillieri hadu l-gurament tal-hatra nhar il-Gimgha, 28 ta' Marzu, 2008. Fl-ewwel laqgha tal-Kunsill li nzammet nhar l-Gimgha 4 ta' April 2008 l-Av. Monica Vella accettat il-kariga ta' Sindku filwaqt li s-Sur Joseph Vella accetta l-kariga ta' Vici Sindku.

    On the 8th March 2008 the elections of the Xewkija Local Council were held.  Dr Monica Vella was confirmed as the Mayor of Xewkija while Mr Joseph Vella was elected as the Deputy Mayor.  Mr Teddy Mizzi, Dr Marthese Portelli and Mr Hubert Saliba were elected as Councillors.  These were the official results as published by the Department of Information.
