Resurfacing of Roads batch 1

The Xewkija Local Council started a new project of resurfacing with hot asphalt at Triq Kraba, Trejqet Kraba, Triq is-Salib, Triq Sant’Indrija and Triq San Duminku. The contractor commenced the works in February 2011. The water services were changed. A new main was laid in part of the said streets. This project is being carried out with the collaboration of the Secretariat Parliamentary for Local Councils after the Local Council had its Public Private Partnership Scheme application approved. The works on four of these roads is completed. Works is still in progress at Triq San Duminku.
