• Town Twinning with Castelvenere at Castelvenere 2002

       19th June 2002, is the date when the town twinning between Xewkija and Castelvenere was signed at Xewkija.  Mayors of the two villages Dr Monica Vella and Dr Mario Scetta singed the twinning agreement during a special event held at St John The Baptist Square.

      Councillors of the Comune Di Castelvenere including the Mayor, and residents from Castelvenere were welcomed by our Mayor, Council members and resident near Council Office.  The two Anthems of Malta and Italy were played by Banda Prekursur.  Afterwards the two Mayors inaugurated Gnien Castelvenere at Ta' Gokk Hos.
